Terms of Service

1. What This Service Is

Bifröst is a trading name of Bifrost Development Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (Company No. 17215135). Bifrost Development Ltd provides the Heimdall Discord bot and associated web dashboard ("the Service"). Heimdall is an all-in-one Discord bot offering moderation, tickets, modmail, Minecraft integration, Tebex store management, and other community management features.

The Service is provided "as is" and is designed for Discord server owners and administrators. It is not a substitute for professional moderation or legal compliance tools.

Branded / whitelabel instances:These terms also govern branded or "whitelabel" bot instances that run on the Heimdall platform and are operated by us on our infrastructure. Such bots may carry a different name and avatar, but they run the same Heimdall software and are subject to the same terms and acceptable-use rules.

Tebex & Minecraft integrations:Where you connect a Tebex store, Heimdall only reads and displays your store data via Tebex's API for your convenience. We do not process, hold, or facilitate any payments made through your Tebex store — those transactions are handled entirely by Tebex and your chosen payment methods. Heimdall's Minecraft integration links Discord and Minecraft accounts and does not process any payments.

2. Accounts & Access

To use Heimdall, you must have a valid Discord account. By adding Heimdall to your server, you agree to these terms on behalf of your server's administration team.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your server's configuration of Heimdall.

3. Pricing & Payment

• Free Tier: Heimdall is free for servers with up to 500 members. No credit card is required.
• Paid Plans: Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via our payment provider. Prices are listed in GBP (£) on our pricing page.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. You retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.
• Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, your service continues until the end of the paid period.
• Price Changes:We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions are honoured until their next renewal date.

4. Member Limit & Grace Period

When your Discord server exceeds the member limit for your current plan:

• You will receive a notification about the overage.
• A 14-day grace period begins, during which all features remain fully functional.
• After the grace period, slash commands are paused until you upgrade to a plan that accommodates your member count.
• Your data and configuration are never deleted due to a plan overage. Everything is preserved and restored once you upgrade.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Heimdall to:

• Violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
• Distribute illegal content or facilitate illegal activities.
• Attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the bot's operation.
• Use the bot to send spam, unsolicited messages, or automated abuse.
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without written permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any server that violates these terms without notice.

6. Odin AI Features

Odin AI is an optional add-on that provides AI-assisted features within Heimdall. By using Odin AI, you additionally agree that:

• You will not use Odin AI to generate, request, or distribute illegal, harmful, or otherwise prohibited content, including content that breaches Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
• Use of Odin AI is subject to fair-use and token limits associated with your plan or top-up balance. We may rate-limit or suspend AI access to protect service stability or prevent abuse.
• AI output is generated automatically and provided "as is". It may be inaccurate or incomplete, and you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on or acting upon it.
• Odin AI relies on third-party model providers (currently OpenAI and OpenRouter, as named in our Privacy Policy). Content you submit to AI features may be processed by these providers to generate a response.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance (announced in our Discord server)
• Discord platform outages
• Infrastructure issues beyond our control

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bifrost Development Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or server disruption, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

9. Intellectual Property

Heimdall, the Bifröst brand, and all associated code, designs, and content are owned by Bifrost Development Ltd. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software without written permission.

Your server data and configuration remain your property. We claim no ownership over your content.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be announced via our Discord server. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United Kingdom.
